Description

This event consists of two separate but related activities:

1. A seminar held by the Australian Naval Institute (ANI) seminar from 1700 (5.00 pm). The ANI seminar will feature a speech by Commodore Peter Scott SCS RAN, Director-General Submarine Capability at Navy Headquarters on the subject "The significance of submarine capability for Australia - looking back a hundred years and looking forward a hundred years from now.' Entry to the ANI seminar is free and open to all interested in submarine matters. Click here to download a flyer; and

2. A reception hosted by the Submarine Institute of Australia from 1830-2030 (6.30-8.00 pm). The reception is open to SIA members, their partners, invited guests from AE1 Descendants and attendees of the ANI seminar.

Since alcohol will be served, registrations are only accepted from people aged 18 years and over. While there is no specific dress requirement, it is expected that attendees will be wearing business attire or uniform.

Please note that access to the venue from the street is only possible until 19:00 so don't be late.

Town Hall and Museum train stations are within a few minutes walk and World Square, Pitt Street Mall and the majority of Law Courts are all located within immediate proximity to this building.
